This last Saturday, we were invited to Burton Barr Central Library in downtown Phoenix to talk about self defense and Krav Maga. Our Chief Instructor Derrek Hofrichter talked about how to stay safe by avoiding bad situations in the first place by practicing situational awareness. He showed how understanding, using, and reading body language can be a huge assistance as part of self defense training.
He also demonstrated how to defend against common types of attacks. Afterwards, the audience had many questions about other self defense scenarios and how Krav Maga differes from other approaches and techniques.
Was a great event with a huge turnout, we are very thankful to the Phoenix Library and to Maricopa County Library System for organizing this event and making it available to the public!
